Dante Fowler was one of the most popular names ahead of the 2018 NFL trade deadline with the Jacksonville Jaguars willing to trade the talented pass rusher, and the Green Bay Packers and New York Jets just missed out. He was the best pass rusher available on the market and the team did end up pulling the trigger on a deal.

According to a report from Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, the Los Angeles Rams pulled the trigger on a deal that netted them Fowler. Jacksonville reported received a 2019 third-round pick and a 2020 fifth-round pick.

There were plenty of other teams that were interested in acquiring Fowler before the Rams got him. Rapoport once again took to Twitter to share two other teams that were in on trade discussions with the Jaguars.

The Rams are stacking up as much as possible to make a Super Bowl run. They already have a stacked defensive line and adding Fowler will just make them that much more dangerous.

Throughout the 2018 season thus far with the Jaguars, Fowler has racked up eight tackles, 2.0 sacks, a forced fumble, and a fumble recovery. He will be an excellent addition for the Rams' front line.

At 24 years old, Fowler is without question talented enough to be a star. The questions with him have come off the field. Los Angeles is betting that they can help him get past those issues and reach his full potential.

All of that being said, Fowler has switched teams and the Packers and Jets missed out on an opportunity to acquire one of the most talented young pass rushers in the NFL.
