While Matthew Stafford has been extremely impressive during his debut season with the Los Angeles Rams, there's one key area where the veteran quarterback has struggled. Stafford has seemingly developed an affinity for throwing pick-6's, and he added another to his season tally in the first quarter against the Baltimore Ravens. Stafford's pick-6 to Chuck Clark in the first quarter saw him reach four on the season, the most in the NFL. His four pick-6's in just 16 games with the Rams has already matched the amount Jared Goff threw for the organization throughout five years, according to Lindsey Thiry.
This is quite the number from @ESPNStatsInfo: Matthew Stafford has thrown 4 pick sixes this season. Jared Goff threw 4 pick sixes during his 5 seasons with the Rams (2016-2020).

Stafford's decision-making has been somewhat of an issue this season, and following the pair of first-half interceptions he threw to Clark, he's now at 15 INTs on the year. Four of them have been returned for house calls, suggesting Stafford needs to make smarter throws when working deep in his own territory.
Stafford is clearly an improvement over Goff under center, however, he could see the Rams fall short of their ultimate goal if he can't reduce the number of interceptions he throws, particularly in positions on the field where Los Angeles is vulnerable. He's managed to top 4,000 yards and has more than 35 touchdown passes under his belt, but if he continues to make costly mistakes like the pick-6's we've seen from him, it could end up proving extremely detrimental for the Rams in their playoff run.
With the team's sights set on the Lombardi Trophy, they'll need Stafford to clean up his act, and quickly, if they hope to have any chance of playing into February.
