In the last several days, the Los Angeles Rams have emerged as a potential landing spot to land All-Pro defensive lineman Ndamukong Suh. The franchise is currently viewed as being one of the finalists to land him in free agency.
However, the New York Jets have jumped into the picture to acquire Suh as the team reportedly offered him the most lucrative deal of all the interested franchises. According to Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports, the Rams are still perceived as the frontrunners to land the 31-year-old in free agency.
While the Jets are certainly exploring the Ndamukong Suh market, its less than a sure thing he goes there. Rams will be hard to beat out

The Jets have the financial flexibility to offer Suh a lucrative deal that could make him one of the highest-paid players in the league. This could be the last opportunity for him to earn a major contract as he's now in his early 30s and there is no certainty that he still be playing at the same level the next time he hits the free agent market.
Article Continues BelowDespite experiencing a notable drop off in his play this past season, Suh is still regarded as being one of the top defensive tackles in the league. He has strong together an impressive career through his first eight years that saw him earn five Pro Bowl selections, four First-Team All-Pro nods, and two Second-Team All-Pro selections.
It's a difficult decision ahead for Suh having to choose between garnering a huge contract or playing for a significant amount less to play with a potential powerhouse team in the Rams that could be a Super Bowl contender next season and beyond. He would have an opportunity to play alongside the reigning NFL Defensive Player of the Year in fellow defensive tackle Aaron Donald to form arguably the best duo up the middle on the defensive front.
There is certainly much to weigh for Suh over the next few days before he makes his choice. For the Rams and Jets along with the New Orleans Saints and Tennessee Titans all they can do now is play the waiting game.
