Eli Manning is one of the biggest names that has come up in trade rumors as the NFL trade deadline has drawn closer. The New York Giants have struggled mightily once again this season with a 1-7 record and may be ready to head into a rebuild. Even if that was the case, it doesn't sound like Manning will let that happen.
According to a report from Ralph Vacchiano of SNY, Manning has stated that he will not waive his no-trade clause and wants to remain with the Giants.
Is Giants QB Eli Manning willing to waive his no-trade clause?
"No," he said. "I want to stay here."

New York has to feel a bit disappointed to have him come out publicly and say that. Any chance that they had of getting some value for him has likely gone out the window. It would take a major change of heart for Manning to consider heading elsewhere for the first time in his career.
Throughout the first seven games of the 2018 NFL season, Manning has thrown for 2,377 yards, eight touchdowns, and six interceptions.
Now more than ever, drama is surrounding the Giants. The future is murky and the team could be open to trading multiple stars. Star safety Landon Collins is also a name that has surfaced as a potential trade target for teams ahead of the deadline.
That being said, Manning isn't going to be heading anywhere at this point. Even at 37 years old in the latter stages of his career, Manning wants to finish it with the Giants.
Expect to continue hearing rumors about Manning up to the October 30th trade deadline, but this statement makes it pretty clear that he won't be leaving New York.
