The New York Giants offense has not looked good in the first couple games of this season and Eli Manning thinks it might take even more time before the offense gets going.
The Giants have Saquon Barkley and Odell Beckham Jr. but when the line doesn't block for the run or pass game it's really hard for Manning to get anything going. Via North Jersey.
“When you have new players, a new scheme, a new coach, sometimes it takes a little bit of time, especially for your first game on the road. It can take a little bit to get your rhythm and get things going, so we just have to keep working and make sure everyone can figure it out with the coaches to do better, and do differently to put us in a better position.”
Eli Manning actually played well in the game all things considered throwing for 279 yards and one touchdown. He seems to have pressure every time he drops back which makes it very hard to give the receivers any time to get open. Manning also said that the offense needs to remember that they are only one play away from breaking out of it so they need to keep their heads up.
“Sometimes you have halves like that where it's not going great, but you just keep hanging in there, you keep buying some time. You are always one play away from changing the game or hitting the big one.”
The Giants will travel back to Texas on Sunday to take on the Houston Texans.
