The New York Giants are working through a rough season that has featured plenty of ups and downs along the way, but the team has managed to stay on the fringe of the playoff picture heading in the final three weeks of the regular season.

New York currently holds a 5-8 record that has certainly stacked the odds against them in any scenario that the Giants would have a chance to reach the playoffs.

With that in mind, the odds of them making the postseason is more than likely based them going up against the Philadelphia Eagles and Minnesota Vikings. This possible scenario was laid over Twitter via Larry Soprano:

There is a lot that certainly needs to fall in their favor to even have a chance to get a playoff berth. The biggest piece of the puzzle is them needing to grab wins over three teams all vying for the playoffs in the Tennessee Titans, Indianapolis Colts, and Dallas Cowboys.

This alone could prove to be quite a difficult challenge for them to overcome. However, if they get past that hurdle they could possibly be in the running.

The Green Bay Packers are also looking to squeeze their way in, but they do have the tough matchup against the Chicago Bears, who are coming off an impressive 15-6 win over the Los Angeles Rams.

Meanwhile, the lack of offensive productivity from the team could possibly see them drop one of these three remaining games. It may be a more difficult task with the Vikings as they have proven to be the better team, but still have playoff positioning teams in the Bears and Miami Dolphins.

The Philadelphia Eagles and Carolina Panthers have both struggled over the last few weeks and have tough matchups against top-tier teams in the leagues remaining their schedule. Although the Giants need plenty to break their way, there is still a chance even if it's a slim one at this point.
