The NFL Draft combine is less than a week away and it appears that former Ohio State Buckeyes quarterback Dwayne Haskins has decided to throw during the event. It seemed to be up in the air and not all quarterbacks throw at the combine, but according to Josina Anderson of ESPN, the projected first-round pick has decided that he will.

If he does decide to throw, it could give him a leg up on former Oklahoma Sooners quarterback Kyler Murray, who will be attending the combine but hasn't decided if he will be throwing.

There are many who project Haskins to be the first quarterback taken off the board, but he still has a lot of doubters and a good combine showing could quiet them a bit.

Different scouts have different opinions on how Haskins will transition to the NFL, but one AFC scouting director thinks that he is very overrated, but that some team will reach for him because they need a quarterback.

“He's probably QB1 in this class, but that doesn't mean he's a good quarterback,” the AFC scouting director said via Bleacher Report. “This is a bad draft for passers, but he's still going top five. It's just how the league works now.”

Last year, Haskins started 14 games for the Buckeyes, throwing for 4,831 yards, 50 touchdowns, and eight interceptions. A lot of mock drafts currently have him being taken by the New York Giants, who currently hold the seventh overall pick,

He could start right away or sit behind Eli Manning for a year learning life in the NFL.
