New York Giants running back Saquon Barkley has gotten all the hype this season and for good reason. He has played well, but according to Pro Football Focus, Cleveland Browns running back Nick Chubb has actually had the highest rated season for a rookie running back.

Chubb is rated 88.1 while Barkley is rated 85.8. Gus Edwards, Phillip Lindsay, and Kerryon Johnson round out the top five.

Chubb got off to a slow start to the season because Hue Jackson preferred to use Carlos Hyde instead of Chubb, but once he was traded away Chubb took off. He has had 183 attempts this for 972 yards and eight touchdowns. In each of the last two games Chubb has rushed for over 100 yards.

Barkley's stats are more impressive, but he has been a lot bigger focus of the Giants offense. Barkley has had 244 attempts for 1,198 yards and 10 touchdowns. Barkley also caught 87 passes for 688 yards and four touchdowns.

Although Chubb hasn't gotten all the attention, it's clear the future is bright for the Browns. Baker Mayfield has proven he is the guy to lead this team and he and Chubb are going to be the focal point of the offense for years to come.

Chubb is also having one of the best rookie seasons in Browns team history. Chubb broke Trent Richardson's rookie rushing record who held it with 950 yards. Chubb is also only 28 yards away from having 1,000 yards rushing.

The Browns will take on the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday and have a chance to play spoiler for a division rival trying to make the playoffs.
