LSU quarterback Joe Burrow is the consensus top prospect heading into this month's 2020 NFL Draft and is widely expected to be selected No. 1 overall by the Cincinnati Bengals.

What else would you expect for a guy who just had arguably the greatest season for a quarterback in NCAA history?

Burrow has already drawn some incredibly lofty comparisons. First, we heard him likened to Tom Brady, and now, NFL.com's Gil Brandt has thrown Peyton Manning's name out there:

“Burrow reminds you of Peyton Manning,” said Brandt. “Burrow is faster than Manning, but his arm strength is equal — it’s good but not great.”

Brandt also mentioned how Burrow has very good work habits, and as everyone knows with Manning, the Indianapolis Colts and Denver Broncos legend had a tremendous work ethic.

Burrow is coming off of a junior campaign in which he threw for 5,671 yards, 60 touchdowns, and six interceptions while completing 76.3 percent of his passes and posting a passer rating of 202.

No, there are no typos there. Those are real numbers.

Oh, and he also rushed for 368 yards and five touchdowns to boot.

Burrow led LSU to a national championship and won the Heisman Trophy. Should he get selected by the Bengals with the top pick on April 23 (and there is no reason to believe that he won't), he will join Cam Newton as the only players in history to win a national title and the Heisman while also getting picked No. 1 overall in the same year.

Newton was taken with the first selection by the Carolina Panthers back in 2011.
