The NFL has slowly started looking to further their global reach in the last few season. The league has always played a few regular season games in the UK, and it looks to continue that trend in the next few years with games in London as well as Germany. However, the Tottenham Spurs are looking to take it one step further.

According to the Daily Mail, Tottenham's management is looking to make a bid to host the NFL's Super Bowl at some point. The earliest they will be able to do so is in 2026, since the league has already scheduled the next three games to be played in the country.

The NFL and Tottenham have been tied at the hip for a long time now. The Spurs have a ten-year contract with the league to stage games in their home stadium at least twice every year. Now, they're looking to host the Big Game and become the first overseas host of said game.

There will be plenty of logistics to figure out, however. The biggest hurdle is London's time zones. For the Super Bowl to be broadcast during primetime in American soil, the game needs to have a rather late kickoff. Tottenham will need to convince it's local council to allow an event to play that late.

Tottenham and the UK aren't the only country vying for the NFL's Super Bowl rights, too. Sydney, Australia is also looking to host the Big Game at some point, and time zone differences there are much more forgiving than London's.

This year, Super Bowl 56 will be played in SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, California. The Los Angeles Rams will be going up against the Cincinnati Bengals to determine who takes home the coveted Lombardi Trophy.
