Is there a chance that Mike Macdonald and the Seattle Seahawks will skip a visit to President Donald Trump's White House after winning Super Bowl 60?
Speculation recently arose that the Seahawks might skip the traditional post-Super Bowl win visit to the White House. However, Macdonald addressed the rumors at the NFL Combine (via the Tacoma News Tribune). He revealed that they haven't gotten an invitation yet, but they'll see what happens if they get one.
“We haven't gotten an invite yet, and then we'll address it after that,” said Macdonald.
After leaving the podium, Macdonald elaborated on his comments. Macdonald seemed certain they would get an invitation, but he's also “not really sure how it works.”
“I would hope so,” Macdonald said of getting an invitation. “I mean, yeah…I don't know. We're going to get an invite, right? That's how it works? Not really sure how it works.”
Again, he reinforced that they would “wait for the invite and work through it at that point.” Until then, what the Seahawks decide to do is all speculative.
Will Mike Macdonald and the Seahawks accept President Donald Trump's White House visit invitation?

Macdonald was asked about how the team will make the decision whether or not to accept Trump's potential invitation. He made it sound like it will be a team decision. Bell notes in the report that they would “most likely accept” if invited.
“Just, everybody involved. Just like we do everything else,” Macdonald said of the decision-making process. “Simple.”
It is usually tradition for the team that won the Super Bowl to be invited to the White House. The Seahawks have seemingly not been invited yet, but expect that to change soon.
The Seahawks are coming off the franchise's second Super Bowl victory. Their last also came against the New England Patriots, albeit 12 years earlier.
