The franchise announced that its classic creamsicle jerseys will make their return, though they wouldn't be doing so until the 2023 season. The team revealed the reasoning behind the jersey delay via their Twitter account.

It's very exciting news that the Buccaneers creamsicle jerseys, a fan favorite, are returning, though it is somewhat disappointing that they'll have to wait until 2023. Fans can blame “global supply chain challenges” for the jersey roadblock.

Essentially, Nike, who manufactures the jerseys, can't finish production on the throwback uniforms in time for the 2022 season, when the NFL's one-helmet rule will be removed. The Buccaneers wore the classic creamsicle colored uniforms from 1976, their inaugural season, to 1996.

Tampa Bay fans will have to be a little more patient in the wait for the Buccaneers' creamsicle jerseys, which will be delayed a year.
