Ex-Nickelodeon star Daniella Monet recently talked about not viewing the controversial Quiet on Set.

PEOPLE reported that she recently discussed her experience with Heal Squad X Maria Menounos about being at the network and how she’s not into watching the docuseries Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV, which shed light on abuse at the network.

In the docuseries, it shows some abuse allegations against showrunner Dan Schneider and others. It has interviews from child stars and workers at the network from the late ’90s to early 2000s who worked on shows like All That, The Amanda Show, and Zoey 101. Sexual abuse, harassment, and racial discrimination were all alleged during that time.

Luckily, she emerged from the network “unscathed.” She was the star of Victorious, which ran from 2010 to 2013.

“I never watched it,” she said, referring to Quiet on Set. “I probably won’t.”

“The good thing about my journey with Nickelodeon is I was a little older,” she added. When she filmed the pilot for Victorious, she was 19. “I was an adult, and I’d also grown up in the industry whereas like most of my cast, except for Victoria [Justice], of course, like they were kind of green.”

“I feel lucky that I, like, I came out unscathed, and I don’t know anyone who’s been deeply affected outside of the things that were mentioned in that documentary that I didn’t know about, which was really hard to process,” she continued.

She mentioned that show businesses made her grow up “fast.” Also, she said that there were “tones and energies” that didn’t exactly feel right or comfortable for some.

“I just can’t even begin to imagine what those situations must feel like,” she said regarding child actors who were unsafe in that environment. “God forbid if anyone made me uncomfortable. Like, who knows what I would have done or thought?”

The star continued by saying, “I just feel so lucky that like, my experience was really special in so many ways. And I look back at it with such a fun light and now like approaching it again, I have a totally new perspective.”

Recently, Drake Bell, who starred in Drake and Josh, revealed even more about his past. Bell, who was abused by voice coach Brian Peck while at the network, was one of the actors who came forward on the docuseries.

E! News reports that he told Today’s Kate Snow, “The things that were happening to me were so — it’s a big word — but gruesome. Not only is it really difficult to speak about and to put into words, but I’m also not really in an environment where I think [the documentary producers] would want to put that on national television. It’s too graphic.”

At least some, like Daniella Monet, made it out of the abuse at Nickelodeon. Hopefully, all of the misconduct has led to changes in kids’ television.

Quiet on Set is currently streaming on Max.
