Nicki Minaj will set the stage of MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) 2023 ablaze as this year's host, happening on Tuesday. Minaj has six VMA nominations and will perform her new single “Last Time I Saw You.” The queen of rap will also announce the event's performers, presenters, and winners.

Last year, Minaj co-hosted the VMAs alongside LL Cool J and Jack Harlow, receiving the prestigious Video Vanguard Award. Then recently, she joined the list of previously revealed performers, including Olivia Rodrigo, Lil Wayne, Doja Cat, and others.

Olivia Rodrigo is also up for six VMAs, including Video of the Year. She will perform following the recent release of her second album, “Guts.” She had a memorable appearance at the 2021 VMAs, winning awards for Best New Artist and Song of the Year.

In 2021, Doja Cat hosted and performed at the 2021 VMAs. Now, she will grace the stage again after snatching 5 VMAs nominations.

Meanwhile, Kelsea Ballerini will make her VMA debut with a world premiere performance from her EP “Rolling Up the Welcome Mat (for Good).”

Other confirmed performers for MTV VMAs 2023 are Lil Wayne, Anitta, who made history as the first Brazilian to win a VMA last year,  and Tomorrow X Together (TXT). TXT will debut a new single alongside Anitta and is also nominated for Best K-pop and Push Performance of the Year.

As for the Video Vanguard Award recipient, Shakira will also perform. No confirmation yet if Taylor Swift will be attending but she leads the race with 11 MTV VMAs 2023 nominations.

The MTV VMAs 2023 will be broadcast live from New Jersey's Prudential Center and will air at 8 p.m. ET on Tuesday.
