The Los Angeles Rams defeated the Cincinnati Bengals in Super Bowl LVI, 23-20. Los Angeles trailed 20-16 with just under two minutes remaining.  Los Angeles quarterback Matthew Stafford knew where to go.

Rams wide receiver Cooper Kupp was named Super Bowl MVP afterward. Kupp had a surprising reaction to winning the award at the podium.

After being awarded the Super Bowl MVP trophy on the podium, Kupp responded saying “I don't feel deserving of this… I don't know what to say.”

Kupp was mostly quiet during the game, but took over late. He caught four passes on the Rams final drive. He capped it off with his second touchdown catch of the game. Overall, he finished with eight catches for 92 yards and two touchdowns.

One of the biggest plays in the game involving Kupp was not even a catch. During the game-winning drive, the Rams faced a fourth and short situation near mid-field. Cooper Kupp came in motion and took the handoff. The Bengals had the play snuffed out, but Kupp made a nice cutback and picked up the first down.

It was a metaphor for the entire season for Los Angeles. When the Rams needed a big play, there is only one guy they turn to, Cooper Kupp.

Kupp became just the eighth wide receiver since 1976 to win Super Bowl MVP.
