The Los Angeles Rams can (and should) revel in their Super Bowl 56 success. But the work to compete for next year has already begun. Aaron Donald is weighing retirement and the Rams have some persuading to do in order to keep their superstar around.

LA wants to run it back and will need their best player in order to do so. The main way they can keep Donald is to bring back the Rams' other stars: Von Miller and Odell Beckham Jr. Donald said to TMZ Sports in an impromptu street interview that bringing those guys and the rest of the team back would lead to him returning, too.

Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports that, although Donald spoke positively about coming back at Los Angeles' parade, he has likely not yet a decision on his future.

I'm not so sure that Aaron Donald has made a firm and final decision yet. There's a reason that players don't make decisions on their future just a couple of days afer ther season. Everyone is tired, everyone is worn out. I would expect Aaron Donald to take a couple days or weeks, maybe months, away to figure out what he wats to do.

Miller indicated that he and Donald will be back. It's important to take Donald's quote (in which he gave a quick answer while being stopped on the road) and Miller's in perspective. It would be insane to imagine Donald saying he's leaving while he and the Rams are enjoying their championship.

Most of the Rams' other key players like Matthew Stafford, Cooper Kupp and Jalen Ramsey will be around for next season. Donald is the key to everything, though.
