The Odell Beckham Jr. era with the Los Angeles Rams has so far gotten off to a promising start, which has garnered the early approval of quarterback Matthew Stafford.

Since signing with the Rams following his notable departure from the Cleveland Browns, Beckham has played in three games with the team this season. After featuring in a mere 27 percent of plays on offense in his Rams debut against the San Francisco 49ers, he has become more of a focal point for offensive coordinator Kevin O'Connell after taking part in at least 50 percent of snaps in the last two games.

Stafford is much impressed with how quickly Beckham has integrated himself in the offense, which the veteran quarterback spoke further about during Thursday’s “The Rich Eisen Show.”

“What he’s been able to do in a short period of time, as far as understanding what we’re trying to accomplish offensively is pretty impressive to me,” Stafford said. “I didn’t know what kind of exposure he had to an offense like this and truthfully, he didn’t have much verbiage-wise or anything like that that was much carryover. But he’s done a great job kind of just jumping in.”

Stafford sees that the best may still be yet to come for the veteran wideout because of how straightforward the game planning has been for the offense as of late.

“The good thing about right now in a season rather than training camp where you’re trying to get every single play you’re ever going to run in an entire season in a three-week period, right now, our game plans are pretty succinct,” Stafford said. “They’re pretty tight and he can kind of go in and learn his role and figure out what we’re trying to do that week, go out and execute it and last week was a good example of that.”

The biggest test of Beckham’s run with the Rams awaits him in Week 14, as Los Angeles will face off with the current NFC West leaders in the Arizona Cardinals.
