After a miserable loss to the Baltimore Ravens, fans started blasting Geno Smith, and his role as an offensive engine was put into question. The Seattle Seahawks quarterback hoped to redeem himself in their matchup against Sam Howell and the Washington Commanders. He was able to deliver and in a big way. It even prompted Jamal Adams to lash back at the critics in his latest statement, via Brady Henderson of ESPN.

“Everybody’s going to put the heat on Geno because he’s the quarterback and whatnot. He just rose to the challenge like he always does,” was the message that Jamal Adams delivered after Geno Smith had an insane night.

In this win over the Commanders, the Seahawks passer notched 369 passing yards. All of this along with two touchdowns helped propel them in the offensive battle over Sam Howell. His comfort and ability to swerve when facing the opposing secondary were also on show. However, his efficiency left a lot to be desired. He had missed 16 passes which meant that he only darted 31 completions to his weapons in what could have been an absolute demolition job.

Despite some of these mistakes and mishaps, the Seahawks rose to the occasion. They had avenged their terrible game where they only scored three points against the Ravens. Hopefully, a hot streak could be in the works such that the Seahawks get a good postseason seat. Will they be able to make it atop the football pantheon come February because of these bounce-back performances?
