Top NFL Draft prospect Anthony Richardson wowed plenty of scouts with a freakish backflip and a couple of cannon throws at his pro day. One of the teams left impressed? The Seattle Seahawks, who, despite signing incumbent quarterback Geno Smith to a three-year, $105 million contract in free agency, possess the fifth pick in the upcoming NFL Draft.

Seattle general manager John Scheider gushed about Richardson's ‘very impressive‘ pro day after the former Florida Gators star's workout, per Michael-Shawn Dugar of The Athletic.

“He was really impressive. Great athlete, great young man. He turns 21 May 22nd. He has a ton of physical talent, there's no question about it. There's definitely questions there, like with all these guys. He's 6-6 as a starter. New staff this past year with Coach Napier. But, yeah, really impressive workout. He did a great job. He had fun, he was loose, and he had a good time with his teammates.”

Schneider is clearly impressed with Richardson, not only with his performance on the field during his pro day, but also with the type of man he has proven himself to be off the field.

The Seahawks GM did acknowledge one question mark that many NFL Draft pundits have pointed to- Richardson's inexperience as a starter at the college level.

However, the Seahawks' actions at the Combine and the ensuing pro days of the NFL Draft's top quarterback suggest that they're very much interested in adding a signal-caller come April.

And signs are pointing towards Richardson being their target.

The Florida product spoke about how meeting with Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll ‘was different' than any of his other meetings.

And Richardson, who might not be ready to start on day one, fits the Seahawks' timeline.

Will they take him in the NFL Draft?
