Not many players in the NFL are fond of playing in Thursday Night Football games. You can include Seattle Seahawks linebacker Bobby Wagner in that group. When speaking to the media on Tuesday, Wagner revealed how he felt about Thursday Night Football games.

“I think it’s very hard for players to get their bodies ready to play a Thursday night game,” Bobby Wagner said on Tuesday. “But, we’re professionals, we figure out a way. Would we like it to change? Of course. Will it? Probably not. So we have to just deal with it.”

Just four days after defeating the Arizona Cardinals in Week 4, the Seahawks will have to make a quick turnaround to face the Los Angeles Rams in Week 5. The same can be said for the Rams, who are coming off a shocking 55-40 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this past Sunday.

Both teams will only have three days to get their bodies prepared for another grueling 60 minutes of football. That is exactly why many players in the NFL have been vocal in disliking Thursday Night Football. Todd Gurley, Los Angeles' running back, also shares the same sentiment as Wagner: Thursday games are ridiculous.

The game on Thursday night between the Seahawks and Rams could be a very important game when it's all said and done in the NFC West. Currently, the San Francisco 49ers lead the division with a 3-0 record; the Rams and Seahawks are tied for second place at 3-1.

Just as Wagner stated, the players have to deal with playing on Thursday night until the NFL makes a change. But as long as the NFL continues to make a profit, the elimination of Thursday night games shouldn't be expected in the near future.
