Sean O'Malley plans on following in the footsteps of Conor McGregor every step of the way. The UFC bantamweight wants to cross over into boxing and take on Gervonta Davis.

Sean O'Malley has his eyes on the big fights and wants to co-promote with the UFC. He's only interested in a huge boxing match.

“For me to box Gervonta (Davis), that’s a massive fight someday,” O’Malley said on the Full Send Podcast. “Like that’s a massive fucking fight someday.”

The UFC bantamweight sees it the same as a fight between Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor. Even though he admits they are not on that level yet.

“That’s a Floyd-Conor fight someday potentially if we’re on the same path. We haven’t done enough, he hasn’t done what Floyd has done, I haven’t done what Conor has done. But if it keeps going. I don’t see my career going any different, I’m going up. I could see him keep beating people, too. It could be a massive boxing fight someday.”

Sean O'Malley doesn't want to leave the UFC and figure things out as a free agent. He wants Dana White to get involved and make it happen.

“It would have to be a UFC deal like Conor did. Conor was still signed with the UFC, Dana still got paid. It would have to be something like that. I can box, I can fucking box, like actually box. That combo that I threw up against the cage, there were no kicks there. That was boxing, it was clean.”

It certainly doesn't seem likely that the UFC would want to set up the boxing match. It will be interesting to see what happens in the future.
