Francisco Lindor's $22.3 million deal is the fourth largest in a salary arbitration settlement, trailing only Mookie Betts ($27M), Nolan Arenado ($26M); Josh Donaldson ($23M).
Next up: A lucrative, long-term contract extension with the #Mets
Always looked forward to running into Ted Leitner or flipping on the car radio and listening to him doing a #Padres game. He is leaving the radio booth. My story on #Padres.com: "Leitner moves to Ambassador role with SD Padres."
Preller's streak without an arb hearing remains intact. The Padres agreed to one-year deals with all 5 arbitration-eligibles on Friday. Per sources, those deals are:
Pham: $8.9 million
Lamet: $4.2 million
Pagán: $1.57 million
Caratini: $1.3 million
Michael Conforto and the Mets have avoided arbitration with a $12.25 million deal, source confirms.
The bigger question for Conforto should be answered within the next couple of months, regarding the plausibility of an extension.
◾️ Agreements with Lance McCullers Jr and Aledmys Diaz.
◾️ They didn't sign Carlos Correa (meaning they'll go to arbitration).
◾️ They signed free agent RHP Pedro Baez to a two-year contract.
