New Houston Texans left tackle Laremy Tunsil is having a comfortable experience adjusting to the AFC South franchise's offensive system under Bill O'Brien.

The 25-year-old offensive tackle Tunsil was acquired by the Texans on Saturday along with wide receiver Kenny Stills and a fourth-round pick from the Miami Dolphins in exchange for Johnson Bademosi, Julien Davenport, and three draft picks, including two first-rounders.

Tunsil was the center of wild speculation over the last week when he was rumored to be the main piece going to Houston in a deal for star edge-rusher Jadeveon Clowney.

Ultimately, the trade talks between the Texans and Dolphins for Clowney fell through—with the former first-overall selection in the 2014 NFL Draft being traded to the Seattle Seahawks. Miami and Houston wound up finalizing a different deal, however, sending Tunsil, the Dolphins' 13th overall pick from the 2016 draft, to H-Town.

According to the Houston Chronicle's Brian T. Smith on Twitter, though, sixth-year Texans head coach Bill O'Brien told reports on Tuesday that Tunsil will fit in well with his new team, citing Houston's offensive system as “similar” to Miami's.

The loss of Clowney will create a big hole in the Texans' defense this upcoming season, but the team figures to be loading up on offensive weapons and pieces. In the offseason, Houston has surrounded franchise quarterback Deshaun Watson with running backs Duke Johnson and Carlos Hyde and the aforementioned wideout Stills and tackle Tunsil in an effort to beef up protection for their QB.

Clowney's relationship with Texans management soured due to a conflict over franchise tagging the defensive end; Clowney preferred to sign a long-term deal rather than go another season without influence over his contract. Tunsil, meanwhile, is still on his rookie deal, which he signed in 2016 and expires after this season. However, before he was traded to Houston, Miami exercise the fifth-year option for Tunsil to be contracted through the 2020 season.
