With training camp underway for all 32 NFL teams, the Houston Texans finally got a deal done with their new franchise quarterback. The Texans and CJ Stroud agreed to a four-year deal worth $36.3 million overall and a signing bonus of $23.38 million, as Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported. This is a record-breaking deal for Huston and marks the first time they have given a rookie the entire signing bonus.

Top overall pick Bryce Young just signed his deal with the Carolina Panthers recently, and now the Texans have locked in the second overall choice. The Texans also selected WIll Anderson Jr. out of Alabama at No. 3 overall in a terrific draft haul, so times certainly are changing in Houston.
