Houston Texans star J.J. Watt didn't play in Thursday night's game against the Green Bay Packers but he still enjoyed being in Lambeau Field. Lambeau Field is known as one of the most historic places in all of the NFL and since Watt grew up in Wisconsin, it's a little more special for him.

Watt said in the postgame press conference that Lambeau Field is a special place, not just for me him but for anyone because of all the history.

“It’s a special place. Not just for myself because I’m from here, but for any football player who knows anything about the game or has any appreciation for the history and the tradition of the game,” Watt said per Texans Wire.

Watt said one of the most incredible parts of the stadium is the atmosphere the fans create, even if it was just for a preseason game.

“Lambeau Field holds a special place,” Watt said. “It’s an incredible atmosphere, it’s an incredible place.”

There have been many legends who have called Lambeau Field home, and there is no doubt that is one of the things that makes it so special.

Packer fans can be tough on opposing players, but that wasn't the case for Watt on Thursday. He did play his college football for the Wisconsin Badgers so even though he was wearing opposing colors on Thursday night he is one of their own. When he entered the field before the game started he got a nice cheer from the crowd.
