Could the Houston Texans do the unthinkable and trade DeAndre Hopkins? According to Peter King of NBC Sports, a couple of teams seem to think it is a possibility.

King notes that Hopkins has three years and $40 million remaining on his current deal, which would make him very tradeable. Plus, the Texans would only take a $3 million cap hit if they moved the wide receiver.

Houston is in desperate need of draft picks and has ample needs across the roster, with King specifying that the Texans need help along their offensive line, defensive front seven and their secondary.

Of course, trading Hopkins seems like a long shot for Houston, considering how much it would hurt Deshaun Watson, but given that there will be a plethora of good wide out options in this year's draft, it's something the Texans may ponder doing.

On the other side of the coin, the fact that the 2020 draft class is so deep in terms of receivers could hurt Hopkins' value, and let's also keep in mind that the 27-year-old also took a bit of a step back this past season. Yes, his numbers were still great, as he caught 104 passes for 1,165 yards and seven touchdowns, but he wasn't as dominant as he had generally been since 2015.
