Derrick Rose was once the MVP of the NBA and was one of the top players in the world. Unfortunately, those entertaining years disappeared quickly after he tore his ACL. Since then, Rose has suffered plenty of injury issues, but seems to finally have his feet back under him with the Minnesota Timberwolves.
In tonight’s big 128-125 win over the Utah Jazz, Rose got the opportunity to start. Jimmy Butler’s absence gave him a much bigger role and he took full advantage of that increased role.
Not only did Rose play big minutes, but he was also the best player on the court for either team. Rose played 41 minutes and looked strong throughout the entire game.
When everything was said and done, Rose scored a career-high 50 points on 19-for-31 shooting. He also dished out six assists and grabbed four rebounds in the game.
Needless to say, Rose has set the internet on fire for NBA fans. His performance garnered plenty of interest from many NBA players, who happily took to social media to share their reactions and congratulations.
Rose having this kind of game is good for the NBA. Here are just a few of the NBA stars who took to social media to post about Rose’s career performance. Enjoy seeing just how much D-Rose still means to the league.
