The Golden State Warriors started their four-game road trip against the Memphis Grizzlies. They fell to Grizzlies 116-108 in a hard-fought battle.

It was the second game of the season for Klay Thompson and he had another productive outing. Still, it didn't quite live up to the sharpshooter's standards.

“I expect greatness every time I step on the floor. I'm not satisfied with 5-for-13. I should've had at least eight makes tonight, but that's basketball. I'm just happy I can say that,” Thompson told ClutchPoints.

Thompson was away from basketball for 941 days. It's normal for his shot to be off a little because of timing. But the things you want to see from Thompson, you notice right away.

His athleticism is there still. He's making plays at the rim, and he's taking defenders off the dribble a little more than usual. Thompson is moving well right on offense and defense. That's really all you want to see from him at this time.

Once things start to click and he's able to play extended minutes, the Dubs are going to be hard to deal with. We're a few more weeks away from that, and Thompson knows it. Although, he's back on the floor he's still anxious.

Being good is okay for now, but Thompson has goals to be great. He's playing with a chip on his shoulders and is out to prove his name belongs with other legends. If he reaches the level of play he believes he can get to, the rest of the league better watch out.
