Once again, the NBA referees are in the hot seat following the controversial finish in the Golden State Warriors' 131-130 overtime loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves.

During the final six seconds of the game, with the score at 130-127 in favor of Minnesota, the referees made two crucial calls that favored the Timberwolves. First was the non-shooting foul on Kevin Durant, who actually made a 3-pointer. The shot was waived off, but then Stephen Curry hit his 11th 3-pointer to tie the game.

Then, in the final seconds as Karl Anthony-Towns was driving to the basket, the referees called a foul on Durant, which resulted in two free throws. KAT made the first before intentionally missing the second to give the Wolves the victory.

After the game, Stephen Curry was asked about his thoughts on what was worse between the two calls, and he gave a sarcastic yet straightforward response.

This loss was crucial to the Warriors, because they are hoping to keep the top spot and gain home-court advantage throughout the playoffs in the West. Instead, they are now tied with the Denver Nuggets with a win-loss record of 51-24.

The Dubs have seven games left, and should they end the season tied with the Nuggets, they will still end up earning the top spot. They currently lead the season series against Denver 2-1, with their final meeting happening on April 3.

The Timberwolves, on the other hand, won't be making the playoffs this year, but are looking to find ways to end their campaign on a positive note.
