There has been a lot of talk about Stephen Curry's legacy of late after the former back-to-back MVP led the Golden State Warriors to their sixth appearance in the NBA Finals in the past eight years. Right now, questions are being raised about where Curry will rank along with the all-time greats if and when he wins another chip this season.

ESPN's Stephen A Smith is more than willing to give Curry his flowers. The renowned broadcaster, however, stopped short when Kevin Durant was brought into the equation. Stephen A. was quick to point out that Curry cannot be in the same league as his former Warriors teammate:

“Resume? Yes,” Smith responded when asked if he thinks Curry will surpass KD if he wins the title this season (h/t Christian Eluemuno of sportskeeda). “As a player, No. Kevin Durant is one of the greatest scorers in the history of basketball. We have to remember that and when he was in Golden State with Steph Curry, even though it was Curry's team, everybody and their mother knew Kevin Durant was a better player than Steph Curry.”

Stephen A does seem to have a point here. Curry was always the face of the Warriors franchise but as Smith said, everybody knew that Kevin Durant was the better player. This fact has not changed and it won't even if Steph wins his fourth championship a couple of weeks from today.

In terms of achievements, though, there's also no doubt that Curry's resume outshines that of KD.
