Golden State Warriors star guard Stephen Curry found himself at the center of attention on Saturday morning after President Donald Trump directed a tweet at him to remove the team's invite to the White House.
Following many other of his former and current colleagues in the league such as LeBron James and Kobe Bryant weighing in on the situation, Curry issued back a response to the comments.
Steph called the Trump tweet surreal and added…"It's kind of beneath a leader of a country to go that route. That's not what leaders do."

The fact that Donald Trump went out of his way to address Stephen Curry's feelings toward attending the White House was quite surprising given that the Warriors had yet to determine on whether they will go. It was purely the 28-year-old's personal take on the situation that he had previously voiced a few months ago.
In many ways, Curry does bring up a valid point as the decision of whether Golden State would visit the White House is quite a minute issue. There are much greater things at hand that the country is going through at this moment in time.
What has been telling from this situation is the outpour of support that the two-time league MVP has received from around the league from various other players. It has become quite clear that Curry isn't alone with his stance.
