Washington Wizards star Russell Westbrook is officially the triple-double king of the regular season, and he is progressing in making that happen in the playoffs as well.

On Monday against the Philadelphia 76ers, Westbrook recorded another triple-double to up his postseason tally to 12. His 19 points, 21rebounds and 14 assists broke his tie with Jason Kidd for the most triple-double in the playoffs.

Now, he is only behind Magic Johnson (30) and LeBron James (28), though one could say he is still a bit far from the two.

Including Monday's game, Russell Westbrook has only played 110 postseason games. In comparison, LeBron James has been to 264 postseason matches and counting while Magic Johnson finished his career with 190 playoffs appearances.

Given the disparity in playoff games played, Westbrook's latest feat is even made more amazing. Considering he has finished the 2020-21 season with another triple-double, it wouldn't be too hard to imagine him leading the list had he been into the postseason more.

Of course, there are a lot of factors to consider since playoffs basketball is different. Nevertheless, if there is someone truly capable of achieving such milestone, it is the same man who already owns 184 of such stat line in his 13 years in the NBA.

Fortunately for Westbrook, he has another chance to add to his tally after the Wizards beat the Sixers in Game 4 to avoid a sweep and live another day.
