Seth Rollins' current character in WWE is a heel with some loose screws. But nobody probably expected that his insanity would permeate WWE's official website. Rollins' name change became official on the WWE website, listing his new name on his superstar page.

Seth Rollins new name in WWE

Seth Rollins, real name Colby Daniel Lopez, has his name changed on the WWE website. And before you indie darlings out there feel too excited, no, he didn't change it to Tyler Black. Instead, Rollins will now be officially introduced as “Seth ‘Freakin' Rollins.”

We're expecting this subtle change to all promotional materials, on commentary, and even possibly on WWE 2K22. Seth should count himself lucky, especially since name changes in WWE usually mean wrestlers end up losing their surnames, as what happened to Andrade before he left, or to Riddle, who, perplexingly, lost his first name instead.

Seth ‘Freakin' Rollins last wrestled at the Monday Raw episode following WWE Day 1. After failing to capture the WWE Championship at the pay-per-view due to the surprise appearance of ‘The Beast' Brock Lesnar, the billed Fatal-4-Way involving Rollins, Kevin Owens, Bobby Lashley, and former champion Big E took place on Raw instead. Unfortunately for the ‘Monday Night Messiah,' Seth Rollins failed to win the Fatal-4-Way, losing to Bobby Lashley. With his win, Lashley is now set to challenge Brock Lesnar for the WWE Championship at the Royal Rumble.
