John Cena is widely respected in the world of professional wrestling amongst his fans and his colleagues. But with the latest praise from WWE legend Kurt Angle, it's now clear who his biggest admirer is.

Angle discussed Cena's professional wrestling career on the latest episode of his podcast, “The Kurt Angle Show.” During Angle's conversation with his cohost, Paul Bromwell, he crowned Cena as the GOAT.

“The career he’s had…he is the greatest WWE Superstar of all time. He won 16 WWE World Titles. He’s the only one to do that. Ric Flair won World Titles in other companies. John Cena has only done it in the WWE, that’s what makes him stand out.”

So many stars have come in and out of the WWE, and it's hard to decipher what makes one wrestler's career better than another. However, Angle backs it up pretty well. Cena is the only wrestler to take home 16 World Wrestling Entertainment World Titles, which is what The Conquistador believes puts him above everyone else.

Angle has been a large part of Cena's professional wrestling career. Cena answered Angle's open challenge on “Smackdown!” in June of 2002, marking his World Wrestling Entertainment television debut. Angle defeated Cena with a pinning combination.

A lot has changed since 2002, and Cena has surpassed his challenger. Cena has ten more WWE World Titles than Angle and has earned ultimate respect from his first-ever WWE opponent.
