Though she hasn't been a member of the WWE Universe since 2020, Maria Kanellis has consistently received questions from fans of herself, her husband Mike (Kanellis) Bennett, and of Vince McMahon's company in general ever since due to her endearing popularity in the professional wrestling world.

Sure, she's found plenty of success elsewhere, including her time as the top creative mind overseeing Ring of Honor's Women's Division and her current role as the manager of Honor No More on Impact!'s weekly show, but through it all, the one-time 24/7 champion has consistently been asked about if/when she will go back to wrestling's mecha, with said questions more often than not going unanswered.

… at least until a random Sunday afternoon in the middle of the summer, when she chose to fire off the following tweet after being asked that well-worn question on a completely unrelated question.

Yikes, now that's what you call a shutdown.

Now granted, this response shouldn't come as too big of a surprise; Kanellis' time in WWE came to an end with a dropped storyline about Mike not being the father of their baby, and she reportedly asked for her release before that storyline produced for RAW even aired, but hey, fans don't always remember how things ended but instead, the good old days. To them, Kanellis' time in WWE is defined by her first tenure with the company, when she was one of the hottest acts around and one of the most popular performers inside the promotion and outside of it. Oh well, maybe she'll have a change of heart if Stephanie McMahon's interim status as the CEO/Chairman of the Board of the WWE becomes permanent.
