There was a time when Shayna Baszler was untouchable. She was the WWE‘s big baddie in the Woman's division, and even Becky Lynch struggled to contest with the MMA performer with a pension for inflicting pain on her opponents.

Unfortunately, at least for Baszler, those days are apparently firmly in the past, as the “Queen of Spades” was beaten cleanly by Raquel Rodriguez, who is no slouch in her own right, in a Money in the Bank qualifying match many assumed that she had in the bank.

The match started off well enough for Baszler, as she got in a few shots and even had the wind at her back for a segment of the match, but unfortunately, it just wasn't meant to be; Rodriguez's power ultimately proved too much for Baszler, and it will be the La Feria, Texas product, not the two-sport master submitter, who will be competing with Alexa Bliss, Liv Morgan, and company for the closest thing to a title guarantee available in the WWE.

And as for Shanya? Well, she hasn't won a single match on TV in over a month and may need to reevaluate her current plans now that her recent tag team partner, Natalya, has turned her attention back to singles action. Who knows, maybe Baszler will be the next WWE performer to take her talents back to NXT, as the 2.0 title picture could use some shaking up, and Mandy Rose could use a legit challenger until Roxanne Perez is ready for championship gold.
