After sitting through a very long Tribal Court segment to start RAW XXX, Rhea Ripley and The Judgement Day went down to the ring in the hopes of finally being the team who unseats The Usos as the WWE RAW Tag Team Champions.

Unfortunately, a totally legitimate Jimmy foot injury shook things up for Dominik Mysterio and Damian Priest, as none other than Sami Uso – aka Sami Zayn – Freebird-ed himself into the match and helped Jey secure the W in the first match of the three-hour show. When asked about how it felt to take place in a match on RAW XXX, albeit in a losing effort, Ripley was excited to be a part of history, even if she didn't like the way Byron Saxton asked the question.

“You really had to add that one extra bit in there, didn't you Byron?” Ripley asked. “Well, apart from the ending, it felt great. I mean, being a part of such a historic moment and opening up RAW 30 is just incredible, it’s such a privilege, it makes me very proud of how far I’ve come an I’m even more proud of my boys The Judgement Day. They put up a h*ll of a fight and we got unlucky. I mean, they put Sami Zayn in the match, we weren’t expecting that, he was fresh, my boys, they weren’t. So, I think we deserve another shot to be honest with you.”

Asked about her forthcoming spot in the Women's Royal Rumble, Ripley borrowed a phrase from the Philadelphia Eagles-hating Paul Heyman to quantify her chances.

“I love the sound of that, I do, I wish you would say it again, Ripley asked of Saxton which he obliged. First of all, Royal Rumble 2023 is gonna be my year, definite, there’s no if buts or whats about it, it’s my year. I’m going to win The Royal Rumble, I’m setting that now. And like Paul Heyman would say, it’s not a prediction, it’s a spoiler.”

Will Ripley join the long line of female performers who hot-shot-ed their WWE careers into the stratosphere with a Royal Rumble win? If “The Nightmare” is to be believed, you'd better bet on it.
