Nick Bosa signed a new deal with the San Francisco 49ers earlier this week, ending his holdout and returning him to the team just in time for the season opener. The 49ers begin the season on the road against the Pittsburgh Steelers this Sunday, and everyone is thrilled to have Bosa back. Everybody is curious about how many snaps Bosa will get in that first game, and that is something that the 49ers are still trying to figure out.

“It’s hard to say,” 49ers defensive coordinator Steve Wilks said according to an article from NBC Sports. “I think each player’s different, and I say that in a meaningful way, he’s different. So it is not really trying to put a limit on what he can do, it’s just trying to get a feel and once we get into the game and then go from there.”

It would be surprising to see the 49ers keep Nick Bosa out of the game for too long due to the presence he brings onto the field, but you never know. At the end of the day, the team is just happy to have him back.

“Everybody’s excited that he’s back in the building,” Wilks continued. “Coaches, players, you saw the energy that we had on Monday when we came in and just magnified when he got here. So once again, excited that he’s back and looking forward to him being on the field.”

The 49ers made a deep postseason run last year but fell just short in the NFC Championship game against the Philadelphia Eagles. San Francisco quite literally didn't have a quarterback that was healthy enough to play, and they stood no chance. We'll see if the 49ers are able to make another good run this season.
