The Chicago Bears have quickly become one of the more exciting teams in the NFL. Chicago has been in the spotlight all offseason because of their high picks in the 2024 NFL Draft and an exciting new stadium proposal. Now, add Hard Knocks to the list. Yesterday, the Bears were announced as the team that HBO and NFL Films will follow around training camp. Chicago is a natural choice for the program, and many around the team are excited to be featured.

According to Courtney CroninMatt Eberflus said Bears players were “excited” when they learned the team will be on Hard Knocks. Caleb Williams has experience with heavy media attention throughout his college career. Eberflus said he feels that the QB will be well suited for it. “He's comfortable in his own skin, he knows who he is…he’ll be good.”

There are several possible storylines for the directors at HBO to choose from. Obviously there will be a lot of attention on Caleb Williams. The first overall pick will be a main character and the show will likely recap the team trading Justin Fields to Pittsburgh to clear a path for Williams. A new stadium proposal could create an interesting one-off story in a light episode. There are also several new faces who could steal the camera, including rookie WR Rome Odunze and veteran Keenan Allen.

The program will feature preseason games against the Texans, Bills, Bengals, and Chiefs.

The first episode of Hard Knocks will air on August 6th, with new episodes every week airing on Tuesday nights until the regular season starts.

Chicago has never been featured on Hard Knocks in the past, so fans are excited to finally see it happen.

NFL fans are excited to watch the Bears on Hard Knocks.

The Bears stood out as the obvious choice among teams who could be forced onto Hard Knocks. Aside from the Bears, the Broncos and Saints could have been forced onto the program.

The people behind Hard Knocks are also thrilled that Chicago will be featured this year.

“We are honored to feature such an iconic NFL franchise on ‘Hard Knocks,'” NFL Films Senior Director and Supervising Producer Shannon Furman said via the Bears' website. “The Chicago Bears have a talented roster, coaching staff and front office all determined to match the expectations of a hungry fanbase. We are thankful to the entire organization for opening their doors to us for what is sure to be an exciting training camp this summer.”

Bears general manager Ryan Poles is also excited for Hard Knocks.

“The 2024 training camp will be big for us in preparation for achieving our season goals and we look forward to bringing the fans at home along for the journey,” Poles said.

Not everyone is a fan of Hard Knocks. George McCaskey has opposed his team appearing on Hard Knocks for years. His opinion hadn't changed at this year's owner's meeting.

“We're told there is some interest in other teams being on the program and we welcome that interest,” McCaskey said.

We can't wait to see the Bears on Hard Knocks later this summer.
