Sam Mendes' upcoming Beatles biopics may have found its Fab Four (Paul McCartney, John Lennon, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr). While Paul Mescal was already rumored to be in talks to star in the films, three more names have emerged. Barry Keoghan (Saltburn), Harris Dickinson (The Iron Claw), and Charlie Rowe (Gigi and Nate) may round out the cast.

Jeff Sneider of The InSneider is reporting the rumored castings. Mescal will play Paul McCartney, Keoghan will play Ringo Starr, Dickinson will play John Lennon, and Rowe will play George Harrison.

It was unclear if Mendes' ambitious Beatles project was going to cast stars or unknowns. If these rumors are true, he is casting four rising stars that bring a lot of prestige to the project.

Earlier this year, it was announced that Sam Mendes would direct four Beatles films. Each of the films would focus on one of the members of the legendary group. It's a wild take on one of the most influential bands of all time.

Who are Sam Mendes' Fab Four?

Paul Mescal is most known for his role in Normal People. He has since made his way to the big screen starring in The Lost Daughter and Aftersun. For his performance in the latter, Mescal received a Best Actor nomination at the Oscars. He is also coming off of a year in which he starred in Foe and All of Us Strangers.

Fresh off of starring in Emerald Fennell's Saltburn, Barry Keoghan has become one of the hottest stars in Hollywood. He first gained notoriety for starring in Dunkirk and The Killing of a Sacred Deer. Recently, he has starred in films such as Eternals, The Green Knight, The Batman, and The Banshees of Inisherin.

After first appearing in Beach Rats, Harris Dickinson has been raising his profile in recent years. He starred in Ruben Östlund's Triangle of Sadness, a film that won the Palme d'Or in 2022 and was also up for three Oscars including Best Picture.

Last but not least, the final rumored cast member of the Beatles biopics is Charlie Rowe. He first gained fame for starring in The Golden Compass and has since starred in Gigi and Nate. Ironically, he recently starred in another biopic of a rock icon, Rocketman, as Ray Williams. Taron Egerton played Elton John in the biopic.

The Beatles are one of the most legendary rock bands of all time. While only together for a decade between 1960-70, they were arguably the most influential band of all time.

During that period, they released over a dozen studio albums. These include A Hard Day's Night, the White Album, Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, Let It Be, and Abbey Road (which was named the third-best album of all-time by Apple Music).

Since they have broken up, the Beatles' legacy has continued to live on from the Disney+ Get Back special to Cirque du Soleil's Love production. Paul McCartney, John Lennon, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr all had solo careers after the Fab Four broke up. McCartney and Starr still tour and release music to this day.
