The new trailer begins with Marley (Ben-Adir) playing “Redemption Song,” which he wrote “all my life,” around a campfire. Snippets of his rise to fame are shown as he records music in the studio.

“I ain't a superstar,” he claims. The success he had in his career begs to differ.

Later in the trailer, Marley says, “You can't separate the music and the message. You see, reggae music coming to unify the people.”

But Marley's music and beliefs weren't always popular. The trailer shows a bit of the 1976 home invasion. As the second half of the trailer begins, “Three Little Birds” begins rising in the background. Marley contemplates his activism. “There's a war going on. How I can bring peace? I can't even get peace for myself.”

“Sometimes, the messenger has to become the message,” Marley's wife, Rita (Lynch), tells him.

The Bob Marley: One Love trailer ends with a huge crowd singing “Three Little Birds” back to Marley.

Kingsley Ben-Adir, known for his roles in Peaky Blinders, One Night in Miami, and Secret Invasion, plays the iconic singer in the biopic. Lashana Lynch plays his wife, and Jesse Cilio, Jamse Norton, and Michael Gandolfini also star in the film. The real-life Rita Marley, and her children Ziggy and Cedella, all produce the film.

Bob Marley: One Love will be released on February 14, 2024.
