Cardi B shared that she is no longer with Stefon Diggs, and now fans are getting some insight into why the couple decided to split.
When Cardi was asked what she wanted to say to Diggs before heading into the Super Bowl — the New England Patriots would later lose 13-31 to the Seattle Seahawks — she responded with a simple “good luck,” which went viral.

Fans immediately suspected that there was something up with their relationship. She later confirmed that she was no longer “f–king with my baby daddy” at her Los Angeles concert in defense of what rapper BIA wrote on social media about him.
BIA had previously wrote, “Can u name someone with more [baby mamas] than receiving yards? I can! and I know that… [you know what, never mind.”
“Just because I ain’t f—ing with my baby daddy doesn't mean you get to talk about my baby daddy,” Cardi said to the crowd in Diggs' defense and proceeded to play “Pretty & Petty” which is rumored to be about the Boston native.

Why did Cardi B and Stefon Diggs split?
While there were suspicions as to what cause the split between the pair that welcomed their son in November 2025, neither party has spoken out. A source per People claims that “things were getting too heated and complicated. Cardi is very no-nonsense.”
“The second she felt that she couldn't trust him, she pulled back to focus on her kids, her music and tour,” the source added.
“She needs stability and wants the same for her kids,” the insider adds of Cardi, before teasing that their could be a rekindling in the future.
“They co-parent and the door is not completely closed. They might reconnect in the future,” the source concluded.
While a source has spoken out about Cardi, Diggs has not responded to the split rumors.
