In this post, while most know everything about professional wrestling superstar Cody Rhodes, we will be focusing on Cody Rhodes' wife Brandi Rhodes.

As a brief summary on the wrestling star, Cody Rhodes has been in the professional wrestling industry since 2006. He is the son of wrestling legend Dusty Rhodes and his half-brother, Dustin Rhodes, is also a professional wrestler. He rose to fame during his time with the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) where he carried his real name and the ring name “Stardust”.

Cody and Brandi Rhodes are one of the most notable wrestling couples today. They both started in the WWE and they both held executive positions with AEW, which is an impressive feat for anyone in their industry.

But before we dive into their relationship, let us learn more about Brandi Rhodes.

Brandi Alexis Reed was born on June 23, 1983, in Canton, Michigan. She has an older brother named Jason Reed. At a young age, Reed took up figure skating and she became a competitive figure skater for 17 years.

“What I imagined back then was that I would be the first black female figure skater to win the gold medal at the Olympics, so I had high hopes for being a ‘first,’ for sure,” Rhodes said.

She went to the University of Michigan to pursue her studies. However, Brandi hung up her skates during her sophomore year to fully focus on her academics and possible future broadcasting career. She then worked as a local news reporter for two years before moving to Miami, Florida, to pursue a career in modeling and acting.

Brandi Reed was then featured in multiple national ads for brands like KFC and Budweiser, as well as being featured in Maxim Magazine. During that time, she attended the University of Miami to get her Master’s degree in broadcast journalism.

In 2011, she was offered to try out for the WWE. Reed then signed a developmental contract with WWE in March 2011 and was assigned to the Florida Championship Wrestling promotion. A month later, she made her debut under the ring name “Brandi”. She also began working as a ring announcer.

On July 11, she began an announcing career with NXT under the ring name “Eden Stiles”. She was also given the chance to be a ring announcer for SmackDown on two occasions. However, she asked to be released from her contract in the WWE in December of that year.

After she announced her release from WWE, she also revealed that she is dating WWE superstar Cody Rhodes. On how they met, we will get to that in a bit!

In November 2013, she announced her return to WWE, and her ring name was shortened to “Eden”. She resumed her role as a ring announcer on NXT. In October 2014, she became the regular ring announcer for SmackDown and WWE Main Event.

In March 2015, she made her pay-per-view ring announcing debut at Wrestlemania 31 as she became the first African-American woman to be a ring announcer at Wrestlemania.

On May 24, 2016, Brandi was released from the WWE days after Cody Rhodes also requested his release.

Brandi then made her singles wrestling debut at the Pro Wrestling Magic on October 10, 2016, where she faced and defeated, Jordynne Grace. Afterward, she appeared in numerous wrestling promotions such as Northeast Wrestling, Fight Forever Wrestling, Rise Wrestling, Ring of Honor, World Wonder Ring Stardom, and Total Nonstop Action Wrestling / Impact Wrestling.

In 2019, Brandi Rhodes became the Chief Brand Officer of All Elite Wrestling, where Cody Rhodes was a co-founder and executive vice president. She made her in-ring debut in the AEW on July 13 at Fight for the Fallen.

On December 9, 2020, Brandi Rhodes confronted NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal in an episode of Dynamite.

Unfortunately, Brandi Rhodes and Cody Rhodes left AEW on February 15, 2022, after failing to agree upon a new contract.
