After countless years of disappointment, the Dallas Cowboys may have just had enough. Mike McCarthy has been entrusted to lead Dak Prescott's squad into deeper postseason runs and even a Super Bowl victory. A big part of their success will hinge on Mike Zimmer. It depends on how he handles the defense to prevent opposing squads from getting on an absolute heater. As of the moment, all sounds right at the Cowboys training camp and even Micah Parsons dropped some huge praise with their defensive coordinator.

Micah Parsons has a lot to prove in the coming season. He is due a very hefty payday from the Cowboys come next season and will need to show that he is worth generational money in the lead-up to that contract year. Mike Zimmer knows this and has been using the defensive menace under Mike McCarthy's system extremely well. Parsons noted that he is in the proper system with how he is being used in Cowboys training camp, via Eric Edholm of the NFL.

“I think it's gonna be a very interesting year. What I'm gonna be doing is a whole bunch of stuff — dropping in the flats, curls, it's really everything. They're expanding my versatility and using me in ways I should be used, and moving me around to make offenses ID me from other places, and sending me when they should send me. Zimmer is gonna utilize every asset of my ability, and that's something I appreciate,” Parsons declared.

What is Micah Parsons looking forward to in the coming Cowboys season?

Furthermore, he is also very excited to be playing with Trevon Diggs again who was sidelined due to a torn ACL.

“That was the first time I've ever seen him down. I just wanted to be there for him… I think I gave him that drive to want to get back to playing with me — keeping him competitive… It made me cry when I lost him last year. He's someone that I hope we can retire together and get gold jackets together. We can go on kids' vacations one day because now he's got about as many kids as me,” he said.

Overall, a great season should be ahead of Parsons and Mike Zimmer. The Cowboys star had just come off an insane season where he put up big numbers. He totaled 64 combined tackles with 36 of them being solo takedowns. Moreover, he racked up a career-high 14 sacks. With Zimmer and Mike McCarthy looking very eager to lead Dak Prescott's Cowboys into victory, the production that Parsons will have might just get higher.
