James Gunn talked with director Ángel Manuel Soto of Blue Beetle about the DCU and where Jaime Reyes will return next.

The Blue Beetle director hints where James Gunn may feature Jaime Reyes concluding his solo movie, Screen Rant said.

Ángel Manuel Soto talks about the post-credit scene

Soto dished out what was on his mind during an interview regarding the upcoming Blue Beetle Blu-Ray/DVD release.

He discussed the future of Jaime and where the audience sees him after the film. Regarding the Blue Beetle post-credits scene, the director confirmed he'd discussed a few things with James Gunn, including the possible involvement of Booster Gold.

“Yeah, we have had conversations about it, and that's where he mentioned to me about the Booster Gold TV show that is coming up. Now, where does it fit, how is it gonna play out? We haven't talked about that. But we both have talked about our interest in continuing Jaime's story and finding a way for that story to be a part of this new universe,” Soto said.

Blue Beetle establishes the existence of Ted Kord, who was the second hero to have the name before Jaime got the Scarab. Ted is Jenny's biological father, and it's not certain whether he died or not.

That said, a recording in Ted's lab starts broadcasting during Blue Bettle's post-credits scene. The voice on it says he is still alive.

So, where's Ted?

The storyline is a good segue to the Booster Gold TV show and paves the way for DC's dynamic character to come to life.

In the meantime, Ángel Manuel Soto's Blue Beetle will arrive on Blue-Ray and DVD on October 31.
