New York Giants star wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. has found himself at the center of the conversation after once again. A recent video that surfaced of him conducting in some questionable behavior that has put a damper on the New York Giants franchise.

This has put the Giants brass in a precarious position of having to deal with an off-the-field situation that pulls that away from focusing on other team-pertinent business ahead of next season. According to Paul Schwartz of The New York Post, team owner John Mara has voiced frustration about the situation stating that he has grown tired of addressing issues of this nature involving Beckham jr.'s behavior.

Through his first four years in the league, Beckham Jr. has quickly proven to be one of the best talents in the NFL at his position. He has become a central focus of the Giants' offensive game plan while producing at a record-setting pace. However, his continued behavior both on and off the field have created unnecessary situations that force the franchise into tough positions.

What has made this more difficult this time around is that his looming contract situation has come into to play as he's set to play on the fifth-year option this upcoming season with the potential to hit the free-agent market next March. Both sides have voiced the desire to work out a new deal, but his continued questionable decision making has forced the team to contemplate where it will be in the team's best interest to work out a lucrative long-term deal that could make him one of the highest-paid players in the league.

There is no pressing timetable for the Giants to get a new deal in place, but it's likely something that the team wants to get sorted out ahead of the start of the 2018 campaign to avoid this becoming a distraction all throughout the season. In the meantime, it's clear the Giants are beginning to grow frustrated with the entire media circus that their star wideout has created around the franchise due to his behavior.
