The Jacksonville Jaguars are taking on the Cincinnati Bengals on Monday Night Football, and quarterback Trevor Lawrence is continuing his hot streak.

Lawrence has a pair of touchdown passes and a touchdown run (at the time of this writing) for the Jaguars, and that marks some history for Jacksonville, according to Michael DiRocco of ESPN:

“Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence is now the first player in Jaguars history with a rushing and passing TD in three consecutive games.”

Lawrence has been dialed in over the last few weeks. In the Jaguars 24-21 win over the Houston Texans, Lawrence threw for 364 yards and a touchdown in the air with another on the ground. The previous week, 34-14 win over the Tennessee Titans, saw Lawrence throw for 262 yards and two touchdowns, with another two scores with his legs.

Coming into Monday's game, Lawrence has completed 249-370 passes for 2,746 yards, 12 touchdowns and seven interceptions. He also has three touchdowns on the ground for the Jaguars.

Despite Lawrence's success, it's not all good news for the Jaguars in this game, however. Wide receiver Christian Kirk suffered an apparent groin injury during the first half against the Bengals. Kirk appeared to have sustained the injury while trying to complete a catch.

Kirk entered Week 13 of the 2023 NFL season leading the Jags in receiving yards with 761 on 56 receptions and 84 targets to go with three touchdown catches. As a team, Jacksonville walked into the matchup versus the Bengals ranked 10th in the league with 23.1 points per game and 11th with 238.0 passing yards per contest.
