Many would envy the life of Jacksonville Jaguars coach Urban Meyer. But these days, not so much. He will spend the next few days trying to patch things up with his family and the team after he was recently caught carousing with other women in a bar in Ohio.

On Tuesday, both the Jaguars and Meyer finally broke their silence on the matter, with team owner Shad Khan calling out the first-year coach for his “inexcusable” behavior. Meyer, meanwhile, admitted his wrongdoing and apologized for “being a distraction” to the squad.

A contrite-sounding Meyer also expounded on the controversy during his radio show, singling out Khan in particular (via Michael DiRocco of ESPN).

“I made a comment when I got here about the logo, about an owner who wants to win in the worst way. That's one of the reasons I came here. I just admire that guy so much. And so, that's what makes me so angry at myself that I lived that, I believe that and I failed. And I've got to get it (the trust and respect) back, and I will.”

His plan to regain his credibility with the Jaguars will be easier said than done, especially since several players have reportedly spoken out against Meyer.

Meyer also has huge problems on the field as well, as the Jaguars have yet to win in four games this season, extending their embarrassing losing streak to 19 games dating back to their last campaign.
