The Golden State Warriors managed to come out victorious on Sunday in Game 1 against the Memphis Grizzlies despite Draymond Green being ejected for a Flagrant 2 foul on Brandon Clarke in the second quarter. He was initially optimistic that the NBA would downgrade their controversial decision on Monday, but that didn't happen.

Following the news, the Warriors veteran couldn't help but laugh on social media:

NBA Twitter erupted when Green was tossed from the game because many believed it shouldn't have been deemed a Flagrant 2. While he did smack Clarke across the head initially, Draymond did try to hold the Grizzlies big man up as he fell to the floor. But, it was still a very hard foul:

Although this won't affect his availability for Game 2, it does give the Warriors forward two points towards a possible suspension down the road in this series. To be frank, it was definitely an unnecessary foul, especially in the first portion. But did it warrant an ejection? Likely not.

Nonetheless, Golden State rallied the troops and balled out sans Green, who is such an important piece on both ends of the floor. I'm sure he'll be poised to come back with a vengeance on Tuesday and there will be no shortage of boos and jeers from the Grizzlies fans.
