After months of looking for their new receivers, the Green Bay Packers finally landed on their Davante Adams replacement in Christian Watson. The North Dakota State wide-out will have big shoes to fill, as Adams was arguably the best partner of Aaron Rodgers' career. Replacing his production will be difficult for anyone, especially a rookie receiver.
By the looks of it though, it seems like this Packers rookie is ready to take on a big responsibility like that. When asked what he'd say to Aaron Rodgers, Christian Watson delivered a stern message for the star quarterback. Talk about guts from the young fella! (via Rob Demovsky)
âI'm ready to work, I'm ready to learn, and I'm ready to get after it. I know he's gonna be tough on me, and that's exactly what I want.â
Christian Watson on what he'll tell Aaron Rodgers:

The Packers' first day of the NFL draft was rather quiet, as they only had one pick in the first round. They used their sole pick to grab Quay Walker for their defensive line⌠and that's it. However, the depth of this draft's wide receiver class meant that they would still be able to get some premium talent, such as Watson.
It remains to be seen how the Packers address their other issues on the field. The departure of Za'Darius Smith was alleviated somewhat by Walker, but that might not be enough. Their receiver room needs some help as well: Marques Valdez-Scantling and Adams aren't easy to replace. We'll see what this front office does in the next few rounds.
